General Information

To validate international travelling, all Indian citizens are required to have a valid Indian passport along with the travel authority for the destination country (or to the country you are migrating to). Visa, which is obtainable before the journey is the simple travel authority expected. However, there are a few countries which have the option of “Visa on Arrival”.Certain countries require a minimum period of passport validity for allowing entry into the foreigncountry. Such enquires can be made at the Embassy.
Another point to be noted is that all Indians whosoever has the ECR or Emigration Check Required category of passports require the POE clearance via the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs for few places if the person is traveling on his or her Employment Visa.
